What has it been amended?

What is the purpose of the edmendment? the word “amendment” does not sell the book. Again, why was it amended?? Is there something we are not supposed to know? FYI, there is nothing on the gods’ green earth that I don’t have a need to know. Now I will read the book, the AMENDED book.
