Aesop's Fables or Aesopica refers to a collection of fables credited to Aesop, a slave and story-teller who lived in ancient Greece between 620 and 560 BCE. His fables are some of the most well known in the world. The fables remain a popular choice for moral education of children today. Many stories included in Aesop's Fables, such as The Fox and the Grapes (from which the idiom "sour grapes" derives), The Tortoise and the Hare, The North Wind and the Sun, The Boy Who Cried Wolf and The Ant and the Grasshopper are well-known throughout the world. Customer Reviews
Great idea, bad execution.
The read is nice. The audio book link, the whole reason I purchased it, terrible. I can’t listen because o the book via the app. I have to download load it on a computer. Why? I downloaded the book onto the app, I can read it on the app, and there is a special subsection just for ‘my’ audio books. So what gives? I will never be able to listen to that story since I don’t have a computer at work. I am using this app specifically for the audio book function. I like to listen to stories and podcast while I work. I work the graveyard shift, so I have a lot of time to listen. Unfortunately, I don’t have unlimited internet. Hence the downloaded audio books. Please fix this problem.
illustrations are a poor quality
If you want a version of Aesop’s Fables to see Rackham’s illustrations, i would not recommend this eBook. the quality of the reproductions are poor. Many are slightly blury. The black and white art is crudely adjusted so that the detail is obliterated. The book is also missing many illustrations that i was looking forward to seeing. I was very dissappointed because i trusted the companies claim that they make a superior and beautiful product.
