Aristotle (384 BC – 322 BC) was a Greek philosopher and polymath, a student of Plato and teacher of Alexander the Great. Aristotle is considered as one of the most important people in creating Western philosophy. Aristotle's writings were the first to create a comprehensive system of Western philosophy, encompassing morality, aesthetics, logic, science, politics, and metaphysics. The Posterior Analytics is fundamentally about the starting points of knowledge, the primary and universal principles, and whether or not a process exists by which we can reach such principles. It discusses about the elements of the syllogism and how we can gain knowledge through syllogistic or deductive reasoning, something which he called called demonstration.
