Trailing a rare coyote through the Sierra Nevadas puts two old friends on the path to love in this “zesty romance” by the New York Times bestselling author (Publishers Weekly).
To wildlife biologist Harley Stephens, landscape around Wishful, California, is exhilarating, untamed, and more than a little dangerous. The same could be said for wilderness guide T.J. Wilder, whose invited himself along on her trek to study a rare coyote. But Harley’s career is riding on this trip, and she doesn’t need a stubborn, incredibly sexy distraction tagging along.
For T.J., Harley is the one woman he’s never been able to forget. But he’s a professional guide who knows when to stay back and when to provide invaluable expertise—just like he’s done since they were in high school. And Harley, as usual, is torn between throttling him and giving in to the raw attraction that’s been smoldering all these years…
Shalvis's assured third rugged romance about the Wilder brothers (after Instant Gratification) follows TJ the oldest brother of Cam and Stone on his expedition of the heart. His destination: Harley Stephens, a blond spitfire TJ's wanted for a long time. Harley, who's recently gotten her degree in wildlife biology, needs TJ's help on a dangerous research trip that may lead to a good job in Colorado, but she won't ask for it. TJ, meanwhile, wants her to stay local and offers her work with his family's wilderness guide company. After TJ lends his support to Harley's expedition, their love for each other builds, but will they be able to make it work? Shalvis tracks their zesty romance with dependable flair, while the majestic Sierras provide a vivid backdrop.
As the title states lots of temptation and a whole lot of tension, good read. Nice sense of humor throughout.
I loved the whole Lucky Harbor series, but I was disappointed with this one, and particularly this book. I noticed many editing errors between the books, and within this one - not just typos, but character descriptions. Along with that, I felt the female lead to be lackluster, along with the story development. Feel like the author phoned this one in.
Absolutely my favorite story of all time! I will be re-reading this sexy story for years to come. Thank you Jill!
