Parker is a terse, talented and perceptive writer, able to set and sustain a story on several levels, defining the character of Jessie Stone in strong images. This said, Penquin has failed to put out a quality product. The fifth book in the compendium is not fully functional, either on the iPhone or the MacBookPro: It is present, but the reader must force entry to the text by scrolling rather than by pointing and clicking. Bad product QA/QC. NOt what you paid for.
