Dead young women are piling up in a small suburban city, their throats slashed, their bodies desecrated, and homicide detective Stanley Bentworth and his rookie staff are caught up in an intensive investigation.
When the Slasher steps up his schedule, the bosses pressure the team to find the killer and rescue the next victim. If they fail, the once peaceful town’s panicked citizens will lock themselves in at night, awaiting the next senseless killing, not knowing when, where, and who it will be.

My new addiction
I love reading these books. It feels like the author is talking to me and his tongue in cheek humor makes me smirk, like I suspect he is doing. Can’t wait to get home to read & sometimes I sneak a read at work, when nobody’s bleeding too much. Guess what I do? Ok. I work in surgery. I often wonder how my traumas get to me and the author of these books gives me food for thought. If you haven’t read any of his work try just one. I’ll bet you’ll find they are just like potato chips.....
Fast paced, well thought out
The third book in the series fleshes out Stan Bentworth into a real person, back on the force but showing he hasn't lost the fire for solving cases.
While he's still a dirtbag when it comes to women, most of us guys can definitely identify with him. A fun read.
Book 3, the Pantyhose Murders
I enjoyed the easy reading, the nonchalant mystery and the quips. Will read others in the series.
