The Great Gatsby

The Great Gatsby is a 1925 novel by the American author F. Scott. Fitzgerald (1896 – 1940). It is considered to be one of the most important novels of the twentieth century.

The novel is set on Long Island, near New York City, narrated by Nick Carraway. Jay Gatsby is a young mysterious millionaire with shady business dealings. This is a story of prohibition-era America, of the Jazz Age, wild parties of the rich; and Gatsby's obsession with reuniting with his lost love.
