Publisher Description
Three simple rules. Two hot professors. One helluva good time.
When I meet Chance and Ethan, I know immediately that these dominant professors can give me what I need, what I crave. Order. Discipline. Lessons in pleasure.
Their rules are simple and there’s talk of consent and age requirements, but my brain is fizzing with anticipatory pleasure and I can’t focus.
And unfortunately, it turns out that twenty years old is not old enough for them.
That’s it? I’m kicked out of their bedroom, out of their lives? I’m crushed. I’ll do anything to get their attention back on me where it belongs.
I might even break a few rules.
Playing by Their Rules is a standalone, suspenseful MFM erotic romance. If you’ve ever fantasized about a sexy professor taking you over his knee, buy your copy and fall in love with two of them today!

“Baby girl’s all grown up, now.”
This is a good MFM romance with interesting characters and a few surprise twists that was fun to read. Chance and Ethan are two professors who like to share and have a set routine they have been following for years. Massie is a young woman who comes out of nowhere knocking their well organized lives out of balance. The story is good, the writing decent if a little flat at times and, as I said, there were a couple of unexpected twists to keep things interesting. I didn’t feel as much emotion and chemistry that I expected based on the characters and plot, which was a little disappointing. Still, their story is complete and the end was satisfying. I liked the little glimpse we got of the future at the end. It gave a bit of extra closure as well. I can’t say more without spoiling the biggest twist in the story.
Surprisingly my favorite character in the book was actually Bradley, Massie’s aromantic bff. He was funny, charming, entertaining and I loved him so much! I hope Calista targets him as a main character one day as I’m really wanting some woman to come along and turn him upside down. I feel deep down inside he’s hiding a painful wound that has caused him to shut down the part of him capable of romantic love.
This book is honestly a three and a half star book but I rounded up for one really big, important reason. All of Calista’s other books are cliffhangers series, usually with four or more parts to them and she doesn’t even have box sets of them to make them more affordable nor are they available on Unlimited. As far as I know this is her first true standalone book and I want to support that and encourage her to write more. I detest serial stories and cliffhangers and I’m so happy and excited she finally wrote this standalone story. As I suspect there will be future stories about Roman and Hunter I hope rather than another serial story she will give us more standalone books. Oh, and Calista, I’m serious about Bradley. Please give him his own HEA. He definitely deserves one.
