Dark Hunter ARC by Logan Fox: 4 stars
Clover/Hunter.
Drug addiction extreme therapies — to flush out traumas/PTSD/triggers — This story is hard hitting and very hard to read at times — but maybe this is a necessary read. Ends on a cliffhanger.
Insightful quote: I’ve just realized that the reason I was addicted to heroin was some desperate need to escape the past.

Clover (age 23) is a recovering heroin addict. She is defensive, proud, and stubborn.
Dr Hunter Hill leads the Hill Institute, a rehab clinic, that Clover completed 6 months ago and has stayed clean. Hunter believes in relapse and feels he has a better permanent cure he chooses certain people for.
Both of them feel connected due to their childhood trauma. There is a lot of suspense, especially scenes in the forest that make you feel like your watching a movie. I really felt Clover’s fear and frustration. Good insights into struggles with addiction and what recovery really means.
There were not a lot of steamy scenes and since it kept getting interrupted by inner monologues it took away from the scene.
