The Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions of S-Anon: A Brief Summary

This booklet provides a summary of the main ideas underlying each of the 12 Steps and 12 Traditions.

The S-Anon 12 Steps are the foundation of our personal growth and recovery. The principles of the 12 Steps are applicable to all of us regardless of our various beliefs. When practiced as a way of life, these spiritual principles can help us to meet and rise above many difficulties in our lives – not only those associated with living with or having lived with sexaholism.

The S-Anon 12 Traditions are spiritual guidelines that foster harmony within individual S-Anon groups, throughout S-Anon as a whole, and in all our relationships. These principles arose from the experience of S-Anon groups. They are the means by which S-Anon maintains its unity and relates to the world around it.

Note: The S-Anon International Family Groups are a worldwide fellowship of the relatives and friends of sexually addicted people.
