The Lost Manuscript of Arthur Conan Doyle

The Lost Manuscript of Arthur Conan Doyle

After the death of Arthur Conan Doyle, his widow begins the quiet, necessary task of sorting through his personal effects. Tucked away in a closet, she discovers something unexpected—a manuscript unlike anything he ever published.

What she finds is deeply unsettling.

Written in the familiar voice of Sherlock Holmes, and narrated by Dr. Watson, the manuscript details an investigation into one of history's most infamous mysteries: the identity of Jack the Ripper.

But this is no ordinary case.

Holmes, faced with a truth he cannot reconcile, fails to solve it. The great detective—so often infallible—unravels, abandoning both the case and the country in quiet disgrace.

It is left to Watson to uncover the answer.

And in doing so, something far more disturbing comes to light: the possibility that the truth was known all along… and that the man behind the legend may have come dangerously close to exposing someone he should never have suspected.

Told through the eyes of a widow piecing together her husband's final, hidden work, The Lost Manuscript of Arthur Conan Doyle is a haunting literary mystery where fiction and reality blur—and where some answers are best left undiscovered.
