A clever princess

The Clever Princess by Lito Seizani is a unique volume containing both a fairy tale and a stage play based on the same story.

It tells the story of an Indian princess who must choose her future husband from three suitors. Each of them promises her the moon and the stars, hoping to win her heart with extravagant gifts and grand promises. But the princess has different values. She is grateful for all that life has already given her and is not impressed by the riches or rewards her suitors offer. Her heart longs for something entirely different...

Lito Seizani studied Italian Language and Literature and Translation. She has published six collections of poetry and a book of short prose pieces, The Ideal Bench, which has also been translated into German. Her literary translations include works by Thomas Hardy and Giovanni Verga. Many of her writings have appeared in literary magazines and can also be found on her website.
