Edification Made Simple

"Build the people." Edification Made Simple is a Bible-first blueprint for building up the body of Christ — learning to speak words that build instead of words that tear down (Ephesians 4:29). Across fourteen Scripture-led chapters, Kimani Upshur, M.Ed. walks through God's construction plan for His people: the command that all things be done for edification (1 Corinthians 14:26), edifying speech, the daily choice between the trowel and the sledgehammer, building yourself up on your most holy faith (Jude 1:20), pursuing peace (Romans 14:19), the ministry of encouragement (1 Thessalonians 5:11), every member a builder, building your house, the church as God's temple of living stones, the foundation of Jesus Christ, the goal of a mature people, correction that builds, restoring the fallen, and a building that lasts forever. Includes a 14-question self-examination appendix, a conclusion, and a closing prayer. Prayer is Trinitarian throughout: to the Father, through Jesus Christ, by the Holy Spirit. No pop psychology, no human willpower formulas — Scripture leads, and the Spirit of God does the building.
