The Ghosts of David Brook

Every year, she rises again. And every year, someone dies.

On the last night of January, the people of Alford lock their doors and stay inside. They all know the legend – Catherine Bannister's ghost walks the streets once a year, searching for her next victim. And no one who's seen her has lived to tell the tale.

David Brook knows the stories. He's heard them all his life. But as a struggling taxi driver, he can't afford to turn down fares, even on the most cursed night of the year. At first, it's just the usual late-night crowd… until the strange passengers start getting into his cab. And until David realises that something is following him.

As the night wears on, David is pulled toward a crumbling house deep in the woods – a place where a terrible crime once took place, and where Catherine Bannister's wrath was born. Can he uncover the truth and break the cycle, or will he be the ghost's next victim?

The Ghosts of David Brook is a chilling ghost story about guilt, vengeance, and the restless dead who walk when the coldest night falls.
