A missing girl.

An international criminal network.

One man must fight for a single victim, and destroy those who took her.

Adam Park once used his expertise, money, and technology to rescue the missing from a murky British underworld. Now, secluded amid a quiet life of surfing and travel, his former mentor sends a new client his way, one Adam cannot turn his back on.

After his initial inquiries prove a troubled young woman crossed paths with a ruthless criminal, Adam is propelled into an international mystery spanning two continents – first to Paris where both law enforcement and the criminals want him gone, then onward to Asia, where he must confront a network that views human life as nothing more than a commodity.

To survive ruthless traffickers, confront corrupt law enforcement, and return the girl safely, Adam must burn down his concepts of right and wrong, and draw upon violent facets of his psyche that he has long denied exist.

Because, at heart, Adam is a good person.

Isn't he?

The Dead and the Missing takes the reader on a journey that launches a PI from the relative safety of the corporate world to the hard-boiled existence required to get the job done. At any cost to his soul.

Review from Readers' Favourite:

The Dead and the Missing is loaded with twists and turns and excitement, and had me holding my breath in fear several times, never being one hundred percent sure of how it would end. A.D. Davies is a very talented author.

The dead and the missing

British and different kind of hero character who is certainly no Jason Bourne! Flaws galore and thus complicated journey is a bit much for a five star rating. But worth the effort to dig in the muck of international lost and found games.
