Short, sweet, and challenging
As someone who has been a Christian for a long time this reminded me of the story of Daniel and how he resolved not to defile himself in Babylon. We are a people chosen and called by God to live set apart lives and this book gives a great example of ways that a wonderful man of God resolved, like Daniel, to be set apart in his life. The short letter to the recently converted woman is very helpful as well and challenging to even those who have been Christians for many years.
