Publisher Description
An intensely emotional and gripping companion novel to Laura Nowlin’s USA Today and New York Times Bestselling novel If He Had Been With Me about the love that both breaks and heals us. Perfect for fans of Colleen Hoover and Jenny Han.
If only I’d told her that I loved her years ago, then I wouldn’t be here now.
Finn has always loved Autumn. She’s not just the girl next door or his mother’s best friend’s daughter, she is his everything. But she’s not his girlfriend. That’s Sylvie, and Finn would never hurt her, so there’s no way Autumn could know how he truly feels.
Jack, Finn’s best friend, isn’t so sure. He’s seen Finn and Autumn together. How could she not know? And how is he supposed to support and protect Finn when heartache seems inevitable?
Autumn surrounds herself with books and wants to write her own destiny—but one doesn’t always get a new chapter and fate can be cruel to those in love.
Told through three different perspectives, If Only I Had Told Her is a love story brimming with truth, tragedy, and the unexpected bonds that heal us.

Read at your own risk!
I absolutely loved the first book it was my top 5. But this one, it broke me, I cannot physically bring myself to finish it. I had to stop after Jack chapter 12. Now i’m not saying that it wasn’t beautifully written because cause it is i love the chemistry between Finny and Autumn with a my being. But it hurts to read. I hope one day i will be able to read this in its entirety.
The most depressing book I’ve ever read.
It should be illegal for a book to make you this depressed ARE YOU OK LAURA WHO HURT YOU?????? Why did u write this? I’m depressed. I expect an apology with TEARS minimum. Please write a version where finny didnt die. Im not ok! WHO LET YOU PUBLISH THIS???!!!😭
For the most part, AMAZING
I loved this book, I loved Finny, I loved Jack, I loved Autumn. And they all have such a special place in my heart.
Though I do think I liked If He Had Been With Me better but for me that’s obvious. IHHBWM is like the main book, at least for me, and IOIHTH is like a little sister, you can go without reading it and still join and understand the fandom.
Also this series has inspired me to start writing my own book! I loved them so much.
Only thing I “disliked” about this book was that I felt like it could’ve been shorter with still giving us the same experience. Autumn’s chapter dragged on for me, maybe because it was unnecessary after the initial grieving and showing how she grew after Finny’s death as a mother and a person or maybe because IHHBWM was entirely from her perspective. I loved seeing Angie a lot, but I feel like not all of it was needed, I found myself getting a little bored at the end. Still loved this book though!
