Publisher Description
Fall in love with New York Times bestselling author Grace Burrowes's "favorite kind of historical" where a case of mistaken identity leads to an unexpected love between a duke and debutante.
Miranda Hodgkins has only ever wanted one thing: to marry Robert Carlisle. And she simply can't wait a moment longer. During the Carlisle family masquerade ball, Miranda boldly sneaks into his bedchamber with seduction on her mind. Soon she's swept into rock-hard arms for the most breathtaking kiss of her life. But when the masks come off, she's horrified to find herself face-to-face with Sebastian, the Duke of Trent-Robert's formidable older brother.
Shocked to find Miranda in his bed, Sebastian quickly offers her a deal to avoid scandal: He'll help her win his brother's heart if she'll find him the perfect wife. But what begins as a simple negotiation soon spirals out of control. For the longer this reformed rake tries to make a match for Miranda, the more he wants to keep her all to himself.

Another Gem from Anna Harrington
Another solid story from Anna Harrington. If the Duke Demands is the 1st book in the Capturing the Carlisles Series, but, you will recognize the characters from The Secret Life of Scoundrels series.
In romance, we know we are going to get a happy ever after, I like that the author makes me work for it. She does a great job of setting up the obstacles and we get a ring side seat to watch these characters overcome them. Kat Martin's historical s do a great job of this recipe, I believe Anna Harrington is on that level.
The characters are funny, endearing and sexy. This book will make you laugh, fall in love and yes, blush even when no one is watching. Miranda and Sebastian are well matched.
There are parts of this book that is down right hilarious.
Sebastian, after coming into his title, is now a respectable peer. I enjoyed watching his playful side reappear once Miranda got a hold of him. Miranda is convinced that she wants Robert, Sebastian's younger brother. She wants Robert to see her in a different light, but, it is Sebastian who takes notice. It is a great start to the series and a perfect set up for the next one.
I cannot wait!!!
I received a copy of this book, without charge, from the publisher. To review this book in a public setting was left to my own discretion.
Boring!
Very boring! She repeated the same premise over and over.
Predictable
This story is so predictable. It was just ok. Far from the works of Judith McNaught or Julia Quinn. Better to purchase those books.
