If Wishes Were Horses

We all have dreams. We pray, we hope, we buy lottery tickets and wish on falling stars. We know this isn't the most practical way to get things done, but our hearts tell us a different story. We want to believe. But suppose the world really did work like this, a world where everyone was guaranteed to have at least one of their wishes granted in their lifetime, and when it happened, their life would instantly change.
