"Brittainy Cherry’s storytelling is brilliant and beautiful." ―LUCY SCORE, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Things We Never Got Over
He was the love of her life, until an accident erased every memory of her.
Thanks to a devastating accident, Gabriel Sinclair forgot everything he knew about his first love. Now he’s back, hired as the architect to design the home Kierra will share with her controlling husband. He doesn’t remember their past, doesn’t remember the kisses, the promises, the heartbreak. But something in him still feels her.
Kierra made peace with losing him once. She thought she’d buried that chapter, for her daughter’s sake. But his return threatens to unravel the fragile life she’s built and awaken a love she never truly let go.
When love is forgotten, and safety becomes a prison, what would one risk to find their way back to the one thing that ever felt real?
If You Stayed is a haunting second chance romance about memory, survival, and the kind of love that refuses to die, even when the heart forgets how to hold on.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
This guided tour of a heartbreakingly complicated relationship is a tearjerker. How would you feel if the love of your life literally forgot you existed? That’s what happened to Kierra when Gabriel had an accident at age 19 that gave him amnesia. Years later, Kierra is married to Henry: a rich, world-renowned AI genius who also happens to be an all-around jerk. But Kierra is bonded so tightly with her stepdaughter Ava that she’s afraid to leave him and lose her. Wait, it gets worse. Guess who Henry ends up hiring to build a dream house for the family? Author Brittainy Cherry has no compunctions about twisting the emotional knife deep into your feelings until the tears flow for Gabriel and Kierra’s seemingly impossible love. But as the narrative alternates between past and present, she’s so good at diving into these characters and making you feel for them that you’ll be thankful for every tear that trickles down—and they may not all be sad ones, either.
Customer Reviews
Beautifully written
I loved the joy and happiness you experienced with the characters but also the way you can feel the emotions and cry with them loved the book a bit pricey but worth it
