iKnow Series: Africa The Rhythm of Life

I've tried lots of apps to get my son engaged with reading, he was not as easy as my first one. We tried Word World, we tried Preschool Monkey Lunchbox (Good, but not a reading solution), we tried Meet The Sight Words (really good too for my first but my second did like it at all) this series is better because it is immersive and builds on what he already learned. My son is not a big fan of books, he likes to walk around and play with cars when I read to him (that's okay, I let him) but he does not say very much, until this app, which he eagerly glommed onto and asks for. I'm so glad. I want him to learn and be kinder ready, not overwhelmed but I want it to be fun and not stressful. This learning is natural and meets him where he is as a child. Very good series!! Very pleased!!

Forget the fact that they learn letters, how to decode words, and what sounds letters make - that’s just icing. The fact that my boys WANT to read and now they want to know more about Africa and what animals eat and just everything about them. I love hearing them tell me “Did you know that…” and guess what - they have FUN doing it. My boys range in age from 2-10 and they all love the books!

My daughter absolutely loves this Series! The visual aids and musical accompaniment are phenomenal- what a great way to keep her engaged! Not only is she a die hard fan of the stories, she has also developed a better understanding of phonics- hooray! Thank you iKnow Series can't wait to read the next one!
