Publisher Description

Two best friends, 500 miles, one wheelchair, and the challenge of a lifetime.

Friendship takes on new meaning in this true story of Justin and Patrick, born less than two days apart in the same hospital. Best friends their whole lives, they grew up together, went to school together, and were best man in each other’s weddings. When Justin was diagnosed with a neuromuscular disease that robbed him of the use of his arms and legs, Patrick was there, helping to feed and care for him in ways he’d never imagined. Determined to live life to the fullest, the friends refused to give into despair or let physical limitations control what was possible for Justin.

So when Justin heard about the Camino de Santiago, a 500-mile trek through Spain, he wondered aloud to Patrick whether the two of them could ever do it. Patrick’s immediate response was: “I’ll push you.”

I’ll Push You is the real-life story of this incredible journey. A travel adventure full of love, humor, and spiritual truth, it exemplifies what every friendship is meant to be and shows what it means to never find yourself alone. You’ll discover how love and faith can push past all limits—and make us the best versions of ourselves.

I'll Push You - Review

There are metaphors and lessons throughout the book. You hear what you are ready to receive. I heard enough to begin my journey at the conclusion of the last word on the last page. Thank you Justin and Patrick.

Its OK...

It’s very inspiring but there is a lot of emotional commentary that doesn’t really add anything to the story. Just kind of the same ideas repeated over and over again. Makes it hard to read.

Beyond Inspired

I had the good fortune to work with Patrick at the hospital, but was only peripherally aware of his impending journey at the time. I have followed the journey of this book and the documentary on Facebook and eagerly purchased it when it became available. Having just finished it, I am beyond inspired! Patrick and Justin have such a beautiful relationship. Even without taking such an incredibly difficult journey across Spain, they have shared all their triumphs and challenges in life with their faith in God to guide them. They serve as a inspiration in faith and the true meaning of friendship without sounding like preachers. I laughed and cried as I read this book. It was beautifully written and it will touch your heart in many ways. I miss Patrick at work, but admire his willingness to follow his heart and find new ways to help people. As I struggled up a hill on my bike recently, I felt Patrick and Justin "push me." Thank you for sharing your lives with us.
