Illinois Concealed Carry Fundamentals is the Illinois legal companion to the book, "Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals." This companion guide expands on that book with advice specific to individuals who either live in Illinois, or who travel frequently to the state, and want to apply for an Illinois Concealed Carry License. This guide explains: What an Illinois FOID card is, when you'll need it, and why it's an important step in purchasing a firearm or applying for your Concealed Carry License.  We'll continue with a step-by-step explanation on how to apply for a Concealed Carry License, and what to do if you are denied.  We'll also explain where you can legally carry, and even more important, the many places where you are banned from carrying in Illinois. We'll also explain what you should know about encounters with law enforcement while you are carrying, plus an explanation of why you might be charged with "carrying under the influence" or negligent storage, and, what you should know if you'd like to carry in other states.
