Illumination

Lynn Davis has spent the last 20 years traveling the globe, seeking and documenting the world’s most exalted sites. In Illumination, she goes beyond her artistry and brings her photographic vision into the context of her spiritual life. Davis offers this collection of arresting images as a window into her own process of discovery, revealing personal reflections on form and emptiness, creation and decay, tragedy and joy.


Illumination is the companion to Lynn Davis’s one-woman exhibition of the same name that took place at the Rubin Museum of Art in New York. The Rubin Museum is home to a comprehensive collection of art from the Himalayas and surrounding regions.
