Strong emotions and negative thoughts can rule our lives if we don't know where they originate from, how we can handle them or how we can liberate ourselves from them. This can result in mere survival, avoidance, anxiety and a life full of conflict. This is unnecessary, since many of these feelings and thoughts are based on illusions that we developed as children to suppress painful feelings.
