Imagine It Better

Betsy Vail made up stories for herself for as long as she can remember. As she’d drift off to sleep at night, she’d weave anything she was studying or current events into fantastic tales that often made her laugh. She occasionally shared those stories with professors and classmates, which won her high marks and some literary fans. After her children were born, she became a certified private preschool teacher, and often volunteered in kindergarten classrooms tutoring children in English and mathematics. Her own children often asked for stories made up on the fly around campfires, so they were really the impetus for honing her story-telling and writing. Betsy’s life has been a book of many distinct chapters. She has a degree in Biological Sciences and works as an Environmental Scientist specializing in water resources. Her love of science is woven into the tapestry of all her stories. She believes artistic language styles and vocabulary, coupled with science-based tall tales, not only stimulate the mind, but also inspire creativity and promote curiosity and academic exploration of the natural world.
