Immortal

In “Immortal,” Susan Knier’s seventh collection of short fiction, the

reader will continuously meet indelible characters. Two sisters clash in

their vastly different memories of life with their mother in “Final Errand.”

In “Wiggle Room,” a boy simultaneously learns about the elegance of

math and the fragility of life. A dispirited teacher finds solace and direction

in an alternate reality in “Blossom.” In the titular story “Immortal,” a 112

year-old assistant pastor publicly addresses an internet rumor that he is

immortal.

The short fiction is followed by a selection of the author’s poetry and

a dream gallery containing a compelling mix of humor, drama, satire,

philosophy and celebrity appearances.
