Whiskey Anders is a memory smuggler with an impeccable track record. But his mind remains haunted by his abandonment of his wife while she lay dying. When a contractor offers him a job that includes rescuing his wife's soul from its digital purgatory on one of the Architect's private Utopia servers, Whiskey can't refuse. A condition for him earning this huge payday includes his new partner, a secret weapon intended to give the rebellion an edge over the Architect. 

In the process of infiltrating the servers, Whiskey and Amna learn the spirits trapped on Utopia are slated for deletion soon. With the clock ticking, they race to save his wife's soul before it's erased and Whiskey's shot at forgiveness is lost forever. As he and his new partner battle to hack Utopia, they uncover a plot far more sinister hiding deep in the bowels of the Architect's new shadow venture, Immortus, Incorporated.
