Publisher Description
Introduction There is a bulk of literature on the impact of thin and attractive models on females, especially on preadolescent and adolescent females. The most common variables used by academicians for measuring the impact of ideal models on females are body image, self-esteem, self-perception, etc. However, most of the literature and studies are related to developed countries. The authors could not find any significant study in which the impact of models being portrayed in the media has been measured from Pakistan or India's perspective.
