All across the country there are hundreds of schools, and thousands of students who are learning in classrooms that are being transformed by digital technology.



The commitment from Education Scotland to putting technology at the heart of learning is a bold vision to enhance the ambition of A Curriculum for Excellence by ensuring it is delivered and experienced in a way that is relevant to the students of Scotland today.


Increasingly the connected world that today’s students inhabit outside the classroom is being reflected within the classroom in ways that enhance and empower learning for all.

From small rural primary schools to large urban secondaries, from every demographic across the land technology is transforming what learning and teaching look like in the classrooms of today.


We have tried to give a snapshot of the impact of some of these changes in this book.


In partnership with the Scottish Government framework XMA and iTeach have been providing devices and support to schools across Scotland. These are some examples of the impact that schools and students are seeing as they put technology at the heart of learning.
