In Bed with the Bachelor
Our latest bachelor has enough family in Marietta to qualify as an honorary native, but hails instead from Seattle, WA, which is where he’ll fly you for a glamorous weekend on the shores of the sparkling Puget Sound. Jesse Grey will treat you the way a local boy turned construction tycoon should: five star accommodations, gourmet dinners, and celebrated Washington wines. We just can’t promise he’ll smile much. Or at all.
Sold to the highest bidder!
Jesse Grey, notorious bachelor and one of Seattle’s foremost construction tycoons, has been roped into participating in the Marietta Bachelor Auction thanks to an expertly executed guilt trip laid out by his family.
Michaela Townsend already has a fiancé and certainly doesn’t need another man in her life. So when her family buys her surly, sexy Jesse at the auction and wrangles him into driving her from Montana to Seattle, she’s appalled yet disturbingly attracted.
As far as Jesse is concerned, Michaela is forbidden fruit. Even though he knows her fiancé isn’t all he seems, Jesse would never take what didn’t belong to him. But how long can he resist the one woman he shouldn’t touch?
In Bed With The Bachelor
I really hate when the cover does not represent the main character. This cover has a dark curly headed man. The story is of a dark blond haired man. Though I have enjoyed the series this one left me finding other things to do while reading it. Like watching TV, eating dinner, lunch, etc. Sometimes it just drags on, nothing note worthy written. I just felt it could have been said differently to make it more interesting. But it is a good story idea, one I have not come across before and I have read over a thousand books. Good job on that and only a few errors.
Loving the Bachelor Series
The Bachelor series continues with the story of Jesse and Michaela. Jesse a construction tycoon, nephew of town saloon owner is put on the auction block by his family. Michaela is in town for her bridal shower, and her family bids on Jesse. Michaela is in an open relationship with her fiance, which her family does not approve of. Jesse agrees to drive Michaela from Montana to Seattle, they get stuck in a snowstorm for two nights, and the motel only has one bed. Will sparks ignite between these two.
I was provided a copy from Net Galley for an honest review. This was an enjoyable read. I have really enjoyed the Bachelor series, all single stories with this one common thread.
Funny & Interesting
Check out Megan Crane's story to understand the bases for this quote!!
“I don't believe in open relationships,” Jesse told her, very seriously. “I believe in hard boundaries and kept promises. I believe in so many ties to each other you can't breathe, and then a few more. I believe in deep, dark, messy, irrational love that lasts forever, works itself out in bed, and never, ever invites anybody else to the party. Or I don't see the point.”
