In Dark Times

Looking back it never seemed I had enough time to enjoy my life. And now its too late, if I could change the outcome of that night; and the events that lead up to my life being changed forever I would have. Opal was looking so good tome, and everything in me was wanting to be near her, to enjoy everything she had to offer. But seeing her, and how lovely she looked, it held me locked in her beauty. The inexperience of being with a woman never entered my mind. The more I drank the more I wanted her. I wish I had been stronger and had not drank so much that fateful night. Now its too late! I am cursed to drink human blood the rest of my life, and prey on people like a wild animal. That one night of fun and enjoyment left me with a lifetime curse that would only end with my demise. The only question left to be answered is When would it come.And from whom?
I never asked for this.It was my burden for one moment of foolishness. I have destroyed a lot of lives since that night. I wish it were all a dream and it was time to awaken, but it wasnt a dream and there were no wake up calls. The only way out of this was death.
