In Re Discipline of Tanner

Bar counsel for the State Bar of Nevada has petitioned this court for an order temporarily suspending attorney Max Clark Tanner from the practice of law under SCR 111, based upon Tanners recent criminal conviction, and referral of the matter for disciplinary proceedings. Bar counsels petition is documented with a certified copy of Tanners judgment of conviction, which shows that he was convicted in November 2002 in the United States District Court, District of Nevada, of 37 federal offenses, including: conspiracy to commit securities fraud, mail fraud and wire fraud; securities fraud; mail fraud; wire fraud; aiding and abetting; money laundering; and filing false individual income tax returns.
