The girl next door is more than she seems…
Gabriel Walker is bored out of his mind. Spending the summer with his screwed up family has left him in dire need of a distraction.
Or an adventure.
He finds both closer than he expected—in his gorgeous new neighbor.
The spark between them is instant. Electric. Soon they’re spending every stolen minute together. It’s the perfect summer fling.
Lucy is keeping a secret. She isn’t the girl next door—she’s the help who’s been hired to house sit for the summer.
She’s a nobody.
If Gabe wants to believe she’s a spoiled rich girl looking for some fun, she can play along with this game. What’s the harm in it?
What they didn’t count on was running into each other at college.
Now Lucy must keep up the pretense of being a rich girl—and it’s exhausting. She knows she’s falling in love with Gabe and she’s terrified he feels the same. Will he stay with her when her secret comes into the light?
I've read both books in the series. Cute, simple, quick reads. Nothing deep and sometimes the conflicts wrap up a little too fast and too neatly (the female leads are very forgiving) but if you're looking for an escape, I'd recommend this author.
This is my favorite book of the series.
I love it when a story makes you feel what the characters are experiencing. When it draws you in to the point that you can see the scene in your head. This book is like that and Monica Murphy makes you read in color. Love that!!! This is my favorite book of the series.
Another must read
Again another great book by Monica Murphy. Gabriel and Lucy's story is sweet and hot. I would love to know what happens next for them too. I know well read a little about them in the next book that's due out soon, Slow Play, but it would be nice to know what happens next with Gabriel and Lucy do the ever get married, does Gabriel's parents ever except his choice?..
Anyway I highly recommend this book and reading the whole series book one before Redding book two it well give you a better outlook on who Gabriel is and how he operates before meeting Lucy 😍
