Publisher Description

In 1532 and 1533, the Spaniards lured by the greed of gold entered, under the guise of friendship, into the great empire of the Incas. Treachery and cruelty marked their every step. Professing to be heralds of the Savior and Lifegiver, they spread death and desolation everywhere their horses would take them.

It was a fateful time for the Incas, who possessed an empire worthy of a great people. But when the Spaniards entered, it was divided. War came, and with it, weakness.

This is the true story of Pastor Stahl, missionary to the Inca Indians of Peru. His life was dedicated in service to these primitive people who knew nothing whatever of the simplest laws of hygiene, were addicted to alcohol and cocaine and lived in the most deplorable squalor and ignorance. Eventually, Pastor Stahl would set up the Seventh-day Adventist Titicaca Mission, which would prove to be a light in a dark place.
