Every passion has its price
The devastatingly attractive stranger who walks into Tender Hearts Memorial Hospital instantly raises red flags for Vivian Moore. The ER nurse's worst fears are confirmed when she discovers who he is: the real estate developer rumored to be snatching up many of the properties in her old neighborhood. And Vivian is sure his passionate pursuit is just a front for the prize Alonso Wright is really after—her beloved childhood home.
Alonso is committed to building a community-events center that will be a lasting monument to his grandfather's memory. The only thing keeping him from fulfilling his dream is the compassionate, guarded beauty who refuses to negotiate. If he fails, Alonso stands to lose a significant investment. But once he gives in to his desire for Vivian, he could lose something far more precious. As a hurricane batters the North Carolina coast, an unscrupulous business associate threatens to derail Alonso's future, which now means nothing without Vivian to share it with him…

Captivating
This was my first Joy Avery story, and I will say that she absolutely gets to be added to my favorites list! I could not put this book down. Vivian and Alonso were two very independent and successful people who were in search of each other and didn't even know it. Alonso was so skeptical of every woman's agenda because of a past bad relationship and Vivian was skeptical of Alonso's agenda. After all Alonso wanted her grandmothers house which was near and dear to her heart.
I watched two people overcome their distrust for each other and work toward something much greater. Vivian eventually made Alonso see that there were things in life that were far more important than accumulating wealth. They had both experienced losses in their past that they wish they would've been able to have a redo. The new Alonso cost him a business relationship but in the end his relationship with Vivian was what really mattered.
The story was so well written and so vivid. The emotions were palpable. What a great read!! I cannot wait for Roth and Tressa's story. I've already pre-ordered it.

In The Market For Love
Oh my god! I tore through this book in hours, because it was soooooooooooooo good! Wow, there is nothing slow or bad about this story.
I looooooove the push/pull. The uncertainties of trusting, or fighting for what you want even though you're unsure of yourself and another person. The emotions were captured so flawlessly.
And the romance? It was explosive heat and erotica. It had me sitting with my mouth agape, page after scintillating page. Whew!
I promise, you won't be disappointed. I promise
