I did a really bad thing.
I'm not a bad person, I swear.
I just made a few mistakes.
Mistake number one was agreeing to rent my hotel out to an insufferable a**hole, named Aden Smith.
Mistake number two was ignoring his threats to sue me when he handed over a list of items he deemed "unacceptable".
Mistake number three was saving his life when he fell. It would have been less complicated to hide his body.
When the hospital refuses to let me know how he is, I panic.
Claiming to be his wife might be my biggest mistake yet—especially when he believes me!

I wasn't sure about this book while reading the first part. I am soooooo glad I finished reading it. LOVED how it all worked out!!!
Great enemies to lovers story
I love where this new series is going. This is the first enemies to lovers book that I have read in awhile and it was perfect. Jordan Marie gives us two main characters that are individually easy to love and understand but when they get together it is like oil and water. Hope is a single mother struggling to survive and raise her toddler son. She has recently packed everything and moved to Clancy, Idaho to renovate and run a hotel that her aunt willed to her. Aden is a Hollywood actor and writer that is trying to get away from it all for a while. He's at the top of his career and just walked off the set of a movie that was going to pay him $70 million dollars and quit. Hope and Aden rub each other the wrong way until the night when too much cold medicine and too much alcohol collide and they wake up in bed together...and things only go downhill from there. After a serious accident Hope and Aden get to find a different side to each other but can a relationship built on lies ever last?
This is a story where you see just how bad things can spiral out of control from just a few innocent mistakes. Past events create hidden wounds that are felt at the worst possible times. It's a story of realizing your mistakes and forgiving others for theirs. It's different from your typical Jordan Marie book but in a word, it's brilliant.
I loved that we got to cross series by bringing Hope's aunt Ida Sue and cousin White Lucas to Clancy to help Hope, along with appearances by Gavin, Casey, and Titan. I can't wait for Taking It Slow - Titan and Faith's story where we get Aden's friend hooking up with Hope's sister.
Haters to Lovers to Happily Ever After… Right?
I really wanted to love or at least like this book and I just could not get there. Don’t get me wrong, the writing itself is good, I just could not get past how awful Aden was to Hope in the beginning of the book. I mean he literally had no redeeming qualities and then the ending left a bad taste in my mouth even though it was a HEA. It was Okay but I would recommend all of Jordan Marie’s other books over this one.
