XXX signals an American Air Force jet is missing over the Atlantic. A novice radio officer on board a ship sailing from London to Fiji via Curacao and Panama tells how he picks up the message and to his immense surprise provides the key to the eventual rescue.
Gunrunning, a wonderful love story, betrayal, high politics and suicide fill his diaries, much to his astonishment. Is this real? Could it happen? There is much in this world in which we live that is unexplained. At the end of the adventure a hint towards an answer is given. (See Notes.)
This is fiction yet many of the events described actually happened. I know because I was that officer.
