Mutual friends in the small town of Manningsport, N.Y., know Jack's good-natured willingness to serve as escort to female friends, and they arrange for him to accompany Emmaline to the wedding. The stress of the appalling wedding drives Emmaline into Jack's arms for a passionate night, but her low self-esteem and Jack's persistent ex-wife make it hard for her to believe he could truly love her. Higgins uses warmth and humor to develop congenial, realistic characters, making this fourth Blue Heron novel (after Waiting on You) a very appealing addition to her body of work.

Great series. Love this little town and all the people. I hope there's more!!!
I'm surprised, really.
I chose this book because of the dog on the cover, then immediately regretted my choice. I expected a cheesy, sappy love story. What I got instead is a cute, mind-numbing, story that makes me chuckle. It's a light-hearted escape, which is exactly what I need lately.

Kirstin Higgins at her very best! In Your Dreams provides enough pathos, chaos, agony, tears and laughter for anyone. Jack Holland tears your heart out and Emmaline Neal will have you cheering her along on every page. A wonderful read.
