New School, New Life!

My name is Aeson Shepherd. I'm seventeen years old, and it's my senior year of high school. Mom left us a little over three weeks ago, after a long battle with cancer, and Dad decided to pick up and move us halfway across the freaking country!

The sign says Come Bask in Shadow, Louisiana. Or at least that's what my dad said it says. I wouldn't know, see, not only am I being ripped from my home, but I'm also blind.

When things start to go strangely on my first day of school, I don't know what to make of it. How am I to navigate a strange world that I cannot see or even knew existed?
