About Chef Saad:
Chef Saad aka The CurryGuru lives in Los Angeles, California. He was sent to the UK from his native country India (now Bangladesh) at an early age, to train as a chef with his mentor Uncle Ghuri. After his training, he went on to own and operate many restaurants throughout the UK. In 1979, he moved to Los Angeles with his beautiful wife Karen. They opened their first restaurant in the U.S., Canard de Bombay, of London in Beverly Hills in 1980, the same year their only daughter Saaren was born. The restaurant quickly became a celebrity hangout and the talk of the town. Chef Saad and his unique approach to cooking, was featured on many TV and radio shows, newspapers, magazines, books, music albums and he was also featured on The Food Network TV show ‘Food Finds’.

    Wonderful book!

    I am lucky to be a neighbor of Saad's, and I have enjoyed his cooking on multiple occasions when he has so kindly brought meals to my house. His authentic and healthful Indian meals are some of the best I have ever tasted. And now, having this book of recipes, I can even make them myself and enjoy them more often! I am excited to incorporate many of these recipes into my family's dinners.

    The pleasure of being able to eat such tasty food makes this book worth every cent. Chef Saad earns his reputation in spades and makes me wish he still had his restaurant around. I would fly across state lines for that food. But now I can make it at home! And so can you! Get it. Read it. Use it. And then don't forget to exercise, because you'll want to eat all the time.
