MISMO[R] has been through significant changes in the past year. Having just finished a successful January trimester meeting (as of this writing), and passed the February anniversary of the handover from the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) to Reston, Virginia-based MERS for day-to-day management of MISMO, this is a good time to review the state of MISMO and discuss its recent developments. The trimester meeting itself revealed many positive signs for MISMO. Total attendance was 125--a rising trend compared with the past two years, during which the economic downturn resulted in correspondingly lower turnouts for MISMO meetings.
