From author Lea Coll comes a brand new small town romance set in her Mountain Haven Series
Move away. Dye my hair. Change my name. Fly under the radar.
That's my plan to keep the public from recognizing me. I just want to be the new business owner of an old-fashioned barber shop, the ultimate man cave. But all anyone seems to remember is that I'm the bad girl on a popular reality show.
And when I meet the new sexy veterinarian, his gruff voice and grumpy manner get my blood pumping. His sweet way with animals makes me want to know everything about him.
For the first time in my life, cameras aren’t broadcasting my every move. No producer is telling me what to say or do. No one’s pushing me toward him.
This natural gravitation toward him is the realest thing I’ve ever felt.
But when my past collides with my present, everything comes crashing down around me.
I wish I could just hide, but I can't.
Escape my past. Keep my secrets buried. And secure the dream job.
That's my plan to change my life.
I’m living like I could pack up and leave at a moment’s notice.
Now, my new boss won’t sell me his practice unless I convince him I’m here to stay.
Fresh from LA, Elle Carmichael walks into my vet office with her puppy and plans for her business. With her sunny disposition and wide-eyed hope, she thinks she’s a good fit for this town. As soon as her crazy business plan fails, she’ll be gone.
Getting involved with her is the worst kind of trouble. It will only attract attention to my past, ruining my future.
I wish I could resist her, but I can’t.
Wonderful Book Full of Emotion
This is the first book by Lea Coll that I have read and I could not put this book down. Ms. Coll has created some amazing characters and you can tell she puts thought into who these characters are beyond the pages. I felt the depth of the characters and the emotions they have along with being able to relate to them.
Elle and Gray have an intense, instant attraction when they meet, but neither is receptive to it as they are each hiding things from their past. I liked the way Elle coaxes Gray out into the community and how she encourages him to share his plans for the vet clinic. At the same time, Gray shows Elle love and compassion, and encourages Elle to keep doing the little things that help her business grow. His encouragement also helps her grow as a person, becoming more confident.
Will they be able to survive when their pasts come back to haunt them?
I received a complimentary copy of this book and am voluntarily giving an honest review
Beautifully written book
Every time I read one of Lea Coll’s books, I fall in love with her characters. Infamous Love was no exception. Elle moves to Telluride for a fresh start. Known as a reality show villain, she changes her name and dyes her hair, in hopes that no one will recognize her. She opens a barber shop, Smoke & Mirrors and hopes the community will accept and support her new business. Dr. Gray Stanton, a local vet, came to town for a fresh start too. Elle and Gray are officially introduced when she has to take Crew, her yellow lab mix puppy, to the vet. Gray had first noticed her at a bar months ago. He’s leery of women, after the whole ordeal he’s lived through. No spoilers, so grab your copy and found out what happens when Elle and Gray’s secrets are revealed. I highly recommend this amazing story and I can’t wait to read more from this author.
