Language brought this book down!
I enjoyed this book. I enjoyed the storyline. The reason I gave this book 3 stars is because the very first chapter starts out cursing.
I, by no means, Am a prude. I love stories that have dirty talk in the bedroom. I enjoy reading storylines that give explicit details of the characters sex lives.
I struggled with the story because the main character swears every other word. I know football players probably are more aggressive in their every day lives. Maybe the language was trying to bring to light the main character flaws. I’ve never heard or read a best man speech that contained as many F-bombs! All the cursing just took away from the storyline.
This is just my opinion, but I would’ve enjoyed more detail about the sex, or more descriptive detail of their bodies, or even more plot then the every other curse word. If I were bored and had nothing else to read I’d read this again but it wouldn’t be my first choice nor even my fifth choice.
