Infectious Diseases of Cattle

Cattle industry (both milch and beef herds) forms an integral part of the livestock of the nation as it has significient contribution to the gross domestic product of the country derived from the agriculture and allied sector. There are still many shortcomings in the cattle rearing and managemental practices which makes this valuable animal vulnerable to several economically important infectious diseases. This book provides an insight to the constraints associated with the detection, prevention and control policies associated with such diseases and also highlights the disease diagnosis strategies (from conventional till molecular) along with judicious tips to prevent them to reduce the losses incurred upon by them. Moreover, an interesting feature of the book is the brief overview of the infectious diseases of public health concern that have been discussed in the last chapter.
