“If you are travelling or looking for a fun fast-paced journey, then definitely stop by this series!” – Married to Books
Being a fairy princess isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, especially when you have to choose between saving your people…And killing your girlfriend. Oh, and let’s not forget having to pass summer school, too.
Talk about a hot mess.
First, there’s Rouen, princess of the dark Fae, goth-rock star Euphoria, and soon-to-be senior at Richmond Elite High. Her world is all things ice, snow, and death. And that death will include her own people unless she can defeat her evil father in a Battle of Wits and War and seize the throne. Trouble is, taking the throne is a death sentence for the princess of the fair Fae. In other words, a quick death for Syl, Rouen’s girlfriend.
And that’s so not good.
Second, there’s Syl, princess of the fair Fae, geek girl mathlete, also an incoming senior. Things aren’t any easier for her. Syl must save her people by battling her old nemesis, the fair Fae prince, and the same rules apply: taking the throne means a death sentence for the other court’s princess, Rouen.
Even worse, Syl and Rouen’s enemies have figured out they’re in love. Now, both Rouen’s father and Syl’s archenemy are teaming up to ensure neither of them makes it till Midsummer’s Day—never mind the fall semester. Looks like passing summer school is the least of their worries!

Customer Reviews
Each book just keeps getting better and better!
So lucky to have been able to read this before everyone else - I mean, I could barely wait even this long! I think everyone is going to just LOVE this next installment of the Circuit Fae Series. Ms. Eldredge is incredibly talented and each book just keeps getting better and better.
Captivating!
I received a free copy of this book and opted to post a review.
I started reading this book with the attitude that the soul-bond between Rouen (a.k.a. "Euphoria") and Syl would overcome all; however, once I started reading, I had my doubts. There's a fine line between insinuating some doubts about a good outcome and making readers lose hope. Eldredge does a superb job of walking that fine line; I doubted but I never lost hope.
Since Rouen and Syl are in summer school, there is some mean-girl drama; however, it isn't the primary focus of the plot. It seemed to serve as a reminder to us readers about what was at stake, what Syl and Rouen would lose if the Fae realms collided and bled into the human world. Don't get me wrong, I would love nothing more than to see the mean-girls get their comeuppance in the form of Fae retribution; however, the friendships that Syl and Rouen have forged with humans and the only home that Syl truly knows would be lost.
For those of us who wanted to learn more about the Fae realms, Eldredge grants our wish as both Syl and Rouen visit their respective realms frequently throughout the book. If you enjoy epic battles and plot twists, there are a couple of incredibly epic battles and some surprising plot twists that you won't see coming. Since I enjoy character development and world-building, I was glad that Eldredge took the time to explore both Fae realms and the relationship between Syl and Rouen.
Eldredge did a fantastic job of balancing the action, world-building, and character developing elements in the book to create a captivating book that I couldn't put down. Whatever doubts I expressed in the series before have been laid to rest with Inimical!
