Plot Thickens with Suspicion
Ani and her newly attained best friend Nik are at it again finding some suspicious findings. It’s a regular mystery and detective series with these two finding strange anomalies. First the illegal organ harvesting in book one and now missing bodies?! As Ani develops more into her Blessed training, the courtship with the Prince has gotten rocky. I’m invested in this series as Ani journeys her path to Anubis’s Priestess.

Ani & Nik Embroiled in Another Mystery
Ankhesenamun or Ani is a Blessed Apprentice of Anubis. She is the only female apprentice at the temple. She has a sacred jackal named Matia. Ani and Matia have a special bond. Ani has started Blessed training with Matia.
Ani has become close friends with Nik. They are frequently partners in class. Is there love in the air for these two? Will Nik and Ani fall for each other? Does Ani still want to date Prince Ramesses or does she want to be with Nik?
This book continues the training that is needed for Ani and the other apprentices to become Priests at the Temple of Anubis. Ani and Nik learn how to embalm dead bodies so they may complete the mummification process. Ani and Nik once again stumble upon another terrible plot at the temple. Ani and Nik will do whatever it takes to save the temple. The mystery they discover and how they untangle the plot keeps you turning the pages. Will they be able to save the temple? Have they caught everyone who is involved in the conspiracy?
The author has built an amazing modern Egyptian civilization. In this alternate world ancient Egypt never fell. Egypt conquered much of the free world. They follow the old traditions and customs in this modern Egyptian society.
This is book 2 in the Apprentice of Anubis series. I enjoyed this story immensely. This is an interesting book with Egyptian culture thrown in. The story flowed and keeps you entertained.
