Roth knows how to write. So even though this second book of the trilogy that began with Divergent feels like a necessary bridge between the haunting story she created in book one and the hinted-at chaos of book three, readers will be quick to forgive. Tris, reeling from the loss of her parents and guilt-ridden over having shot her best friend, must escape the Erudite faction's horrific takeover by fleeing first to Amity and then Candor. Reluctantly, she joins forces with the "factionless" to defeat Erudite. As stubborn and self-destructive as ever, Tris butts heads with Tobias and tests everyone's (perhaps even readers') patience. Roth keeps every chapter action-packed, moving Tris tantalizingly close to learning the secret her parents were fighting to unleash. Ugh!
Divergent was my fav book of all time over the hunger games!!! Veronica hurry hurry! I love Tobias and tris ughhhhh I can't wait!!!!
Insurgent
The best part of Insurgent is that is packed with action scenes that move the story along while keeping the audience engaged. However, there are the times in between that drag and feel almost repetitive in the description of the emotional conflicts Tris experiences. One of the few reasons I continued with this story is because it spikes my curiosity in almost an Erudite nature. The last chapter only increases that curiosity, so although it might not be an exceptional read (see James Dashner's The Maze Runner) it is entertaining one.

Cant wait until Insurgent comes out! My favorite series after Hunger Games! Hurry Veronica Roth!
