Great Story
Great story, good setting and believable characters make this book a winner.
Loved it!
Wow! What a phenomenal book! I’m kicking myself for not reading this earlier. But I am so glad that I did read it because Ms. Justice gave us some amazing characters.
Ace Sharp is a single dad to one amazing little girl. He runs a business with his best friend. Ace keeps things close to his chest and River is number one priority. Until a stranger is on his land and it’s a site to behold. From the first look Ace knows that Layne is going to be trouble...sassy and confident. We follow as the twists and turns of a new romance begins. Justice takes us on an entertaining bumpy ride to this couples happily ever after. A story so good you won’t put down.
Highly recommended.
Love happens when you aren't looking for it
I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Left reeling after the betrayal by her longtime boyfriend Bobby and her now ex-best friend Cyndi, Layne Elliott has been forced to take a sabbatical. She finds herself in a serene setting outside of a small town in Georgia thanks to her boss and mentor Marcia. As she tries to sort out the mess that has become her life, she finds herself and many truths she failed to allow herself to see.
Ace Sharp didn't know what was missing from his life until he stumbles upon the beautiful stranger staying in the cabin next door. His life has revolved around his feisty and precocious daughter, River. He has a thriving equine therapy practice which takes most of his time but he can't seem to get the beautiful Northerner out of his mind and River is no help in the matter.
This story grabbed my attention from the very beginning. I loved reading the evolution of the characters and how their lives intertwined. There are even a few unexpected twists in the story. My heart both broke and soared for these characters and I hope they will be visited again in a later book because I can definitely see a story involving Lily (Ace's sister) and Justin (Ace's best friend and partner).
