Intergalactica is a steampunk-era fairy-tale fantasy that is propelled by prose, but nuanced by the photographic and costumed elegance of its collaborators. As a result, the text does not dominate the image; the image does not illustrate the text. Instead, the reader experiences a story-telling polyphony -- a genuine visual and verbal collaboration.
This eTale version of Intergalactica is the bi-product of Artist Kamikaze IV, an annual Twin Ports arts competition in which artists who work in different genres are teamed up to produce a theme-based show in a public space. The chosen theme for Artist Kamikaze IV, created by Limbo Gallery, was Intergalactic. The project produced such an exciting result that N&L Publishing decided to reproduce it in a format that could be shared with a wider audience.
